Bury Me With the Lo On

Bury Me With the Lo On
25 years ago, two “boostin’ posses” bound and determined to have the latest and greatest from Polo joined forces to become the Lo (as in short for Polo) Lifes; Bury Me With the Lo On tells the story. The culmination of five years of work between Lo Life founder Thirstin Howl III (yes, it’s based off the Gilligan’s Island character) and photographer Tom Gould, Bury Me With the Lo On features everything from recent portraits and unseen archival pictures to words from Polo collectors and Lo Life players. Ralph Lauren probably never thought his clothing would inspire a group of kids from ’80s Brooklyn to give birth to a worldwide movement and influence mainstream rap culture, but that’s just one more reason why this limited first edition release of Bury Me With the Lo On is so fascinating.
