What-to-Watch-This-Weekend-Burning-Sands

With cable, Netflix, and internet options, finding the best thing to watch during your downtime is difficult. Instead of flipping through menus all weekend and settling on nothing, turn to What to Watch This Weekend, a series in which we give you our pick for the best new show or movie available.

We don’t know if you pledged a fraternity during your formative years, but if you did, there’s a chance you dealt with some form of hazing. Whether that meant playful ribbing or copious amounts of alcohol and a lack of pants, many fraternities have some sort of questionable process for joining. That leads us into the What to Watch This Weekend pick for this Friday, Burning Sands, a Netflix original from Gerard McMurry that centers on Zurich, a student going through a hazing ritual in hopes of making it into Lambda Lambda Phi. His journey towards joining the historically black fraternity tests his fortitude and moral compass and makes for yet another solid original from the streaming giant. It hits Netflix today. Check it out this weekend. Link

Ah, the waffle weave. Looks cool, feels great, reminds us of toasted Eggos. You’ve seen them before–probably in a fancy store or hotel–but Parachute’s brand new Waffle Towels are different. They’re spun using innovative Aerocotton Technology, which basically means they’ll be dry by the time your significant other finally gets out of the shower and realizes you stole their towel. Parachute’s Waffle Towels come in two sizes and two neutral colors. Plus, their 100% cotton construction means they start soft and only get softer with time. Even Kevin McCallister would approve.
