If we were to list the movies we thought were better than their literary counterparts, the list would be three items long: Psycho, Blade Runner and A Clockwork Orange. The first two already have “Anniversary Editions” that made it to Blu-Ray and now A Clockwork Orange does as well. The masterpiece that is A Clockwork Orange is one of the most ridiculous, depraved, hilarious and well performed movies of all time and you’ve probably already seen it. If you haven’t, you need to, and even if you have, you should probably watch it again. The Anniversay Edition is worth shelling out for (read: Don’t just watch on Netflix) because of the extras and a picture much closer to the original 1.66:1 aspect ratio that Kubrick intended the movie to be viewed in. The colors of the real world only seem really real when you viddy them on the screen, so do it in HD.
