Elizabeth Herrmann Architecture + Design is a residential firm based in central Vermont that builds, remodels and restores with a combination of character and distinction you won’t find at other firms. When Elizabeth Herrmann was approached by a local artist to create something small, energy-efficient and beautiful on a tight budget she came up with this, the Micro House. The requirements were simple, but duanting: everything you need in a full-size house including a guest sleeping area, laundry machines and storage had to be fit into 430 finished square feet with a loft while still feeling spacious. While the elevated Tiny House literally cuts corners in the layout, nothing is sacrificed in the gorgeous and clean design. You can still take a bath. You can still store all your gear in the basement and do laundry. You can entertain guests with a meal before retiring to your sleeping loft while they pass out in the convertible living quarters. The Elizabeth Herrmann Micro house has everything you need and nothing you don’t.
The Throttle Bottle Opener is a pint-sized beer popper that’s more clever than you realize. While its compact size make it ideal for tossing on a keyring, its miniscule build is only one of the benefits here. Outfitted with a powerful rare earth magnet, each Throttle Bottle Opener easily finds its way to your bottle’s cap. Not only that, you can keep it on the fridge so it’s on hand whenever you pull out a cold one. Then, use it with one hand to open that bottle. Clever, tiny, and incredibly useful.
