Right now, the point where form and function and fashion meet can be boiled down to one standard, Army-issue word: camo. You can find the newest iterations of everyone’s favorite chameleonesque material on pants and pocket squares and belts and briefs, so it’s no surprise it finally made its way onto the exterior of a backpack. To be fair, camo everything pretty much already exists in one military form or another, but now it’s getting used by companies that have no prior experience with the material and nothing near a military contract. What they do have is experience making excellent consumer goods. Herschel Supply Co. Backpacks are the closest thing you’ll find to a more grown-up, evolved version of the Boy Scout backpack. The Claim has a single wide mouth top entry, front pocket outfitted with an organizer and shoulder/lower back padding.
